Meet The Leadership Team

Emma Humphries

Why do you want to be on leadership team?

I want to be on leadership team because my youth leaders made a huge impact on me. The high schoolers and college students who would come and sit with me during middle school small groups were super insightful and helped me with my faith and I would love to do the same for someone else!

Fun fact about you.

I have visited over half of the United States.

What is your favorite youth event?

My favorite youth event is definitely Rad Sab!

Macie Duke

I want to be on leadership team because I have always felt the pull on my heart from God to jump in and help everyone feel accepted and included as well as making people feel comfortable with worship! God’s words are indescribable and worship is just one way to hear and feel them!

A fun fact about me is that I have been dancing since I was two years old and singing for as long as I can remember! I also play guitar and ukulele :)

3. My fav youth event ever is when we go on out winter retreat called Radical Sabbatical (aka Rad Sab) at Camp Glisson in Dahlonega! This is one of my most favorite weekends of the year and He never fails to touch my heart every year I go!

Sydney Smith

I always loved being around the church group and was there a lot and felt like I was getting closer to the middle schoolers. I really enjoy helping to form their faith with God and be the best version of themselves. Not only that but they help me grow in my faith and be an example as well.

I have been with CFUMC my whole life

My favorite youth event would probably be Rad Sab but I love them all!! Rad Sab is an amazing getaway to be with my closet friends and it is a weekend to get closer with God and clear my mind from all high school and life stress.

The reason I wanted to be on the the leadership team is to give back to the program that has given so much to me, and help grow the program to reach and impact more of the community

A fun fact about me is that I know the alphabet backwards

My favorite youth event is most definitely Rad Sab.

I thought leadership team would be a good chance to help me grow in my faith by helping other people find their foundations in religion.

A fun fact about me is that I enjoy cooking.

My favorite event with the Youth group is Whirley Ball. It’s basically bumper cars with lacrosse and is very fun and active.

Emma Woodall

Hi! I’m Emma Woodall and I’m the student intern. I am a senior at Forsyth Central High School. I am a competitive gymnast and a cheerleader at Central. I have been involved in the youth program since I was young, so I am super excited to have the opportunity to give back to a community that has impacted my life in so many different ways.

Josh Scharff

I want to be on leadership team because I want to be the role model that my leaders were to me. I grew up in this church and this youth group with love and support from my leaders, all I want to do now is give that back.

A fun fact about me is that I love to play soccer, I have for 12 years and I don’t want to stop now.

My favorite youth event is the parties at youth on Sundays. They are always so much fun. You get to bond with your peers, joke around, have some fun, and play some awesome games! It’s an all around great time!

Marybeth Yonk
